چکیده

Abstract An antimicrobial producing Gram-positive, aerobic, non-motile and filamentous actinobacterial strain SKN60T was isolated from soil The isolate exhibited 99.3 99.0% identity with Streptomyces laurentii ATCC 31255T S. roseicoloratus TRM 44457T, respectively, in 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. However, the genome displayed maximum ANI (88.45%) AAI (85.61%) 44457T. Similarly, dDDH showed 33.7% It formed a cluster 44457T phylogenomic tree. Cell wall analysis revealed presence of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine phosphatidylcholine as major polar lipids diaminopimelic acid diagnostic diamino acid. Major fatty acids were iso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:0, iso-C16:0. G+C content found to be 72.3 mol%. Genome using antiSMASH database occurrence thiopeptide biosynthesis 94% similarity berninamycin bernensis UC5144. mass 1146 Da is identical berninamycin. But subtle differences observed leader peptide Notably, not validly reported thus only containing BGC no other phylogenetic relative had it. Additionally, differed phenotypic genetic characteristics all relatives genus Streptomyces. Therefore, it proposed novel species name terrae sp. nov. (=MTCC 13163T; = JCM 35768T).

A novel Gram-stain-positive, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium, designated 5GHs34-4(T), was isolated from greenhouse soil in Yongin, Republic of Korea. Growth occurred in the temperature range of 10-37 °C (optimum 28-30 °C) and at pH 5.0-9.0 (optimum pH 7.0). It can tolerate up to 3 % (w/v) NaCl. The strain showed 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity levels of 95.1-97.0 % with species of the genus ...

Rothia terrae sp. nov. isolated from soil in Taiwan.

A cream-white-coloured, aerobic, Gram-positive, ovoid to spherical-shaped bacterial strain, designated L-143(T), was isolated from soil in Taiwan. The highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities of strain L-143(T) (98.3-95.8%) were with members of the genus Rothia. Chemotaxonomic and phenotypic properties of this organism were consistent with its classification in the genus Rothia. The novel is...

Terrabacter terrae sp. nov., a novel actinomycete isolated from soil in Spain.

A Gram-positive, aerobic, long-rod-shaped, non-spore-forming bacterium (strain PPLB(T)) was isolated from soil mixed with Iberian pig hair. This actinomycete showed keratinase activity in vitro when chicken feathers were added to the culture medium. Strain PPLB(T) was oxidase-negative and catalase-positive and produced lipase and esterase lipase. This actinomycete grew at 40 degrees C on nutrie...

Streptomyces jietaisiensis sp. nov., isolated from soil in northern China.

An actinomycete, strain FXJ46(T), was isolated from cypress forest soil in northern China and shown to have chemotaxonomic and morphological properties consistent with streptomycetes. It developed greyish aerial mycelium and pinkish-brown substrate mycelium on oatmeal agar. Phylogenetic analyses based on an almost complete 16S rRNA gene sequence of the strain and on the 120 nucleotide variable ...

Streptomyces costaricanus sp. nov., isolated from nematode-suppressive soil.

A new bacterial strain, strain CR-43T (T = type strain), which was isolated from tropical soil and was previously shown to have antinematodal and antibiotic properties, is described. The name Streptomyces costaricanus is proposed for this organism. The generic placement of strain CR-43T was based on its typical morphology, its production of LL-diaminopimelic acid, and its fatty acid composition...
